James Paterson started what is know today as Redwells Joinery Ltd by working from his very own garage. Knowing he had a skill set to offer, James was producing various joinery products for local businesses and clients. He quickly realised, after a 6 moth period, that his garage was no longer suitable due to the popularity of his products.
In August of 1998 James decided to rent a unit in Whitehill Industrial Estate, Glenrothes. Here began the journey of Redwells Joinery Ltd. James himself, a wood machinist to trade, employed a joiner to assemble the goods while his wife Elizabeth took care of the accounts.
As the company grew from strength to strength the team were joined by Sandra Paterson, James’s daughter in 1990 to facilitate orders and oversee the workshop. After a year and a half, the business expanded once again. Redwells Joinery relocated to larger premises in Southfield Industrial Estate, Glenrothes where they currently trade from today. Having a workforce of three machine men and five joiners, some of whom have been with the team for the last 20 years, allows Redwells Joinery to serve more clients, tradesmen, architects and businesses.
Redwells Joinery take pride as a family run, independent business. This combined with our present workforce will ensure the continuation of serving customers to the very best of their ability.
Top notch joiner work and total dedication to finishing a job. Definitely recommend themMaureen Penrice
